Hello:

Have a customer complaining about a KEITH WALKING FLOOR equipped trailer; the floor slats moves while the trailer is empty, but when is loaded they said the whole trailer "vibrates"

The strange thing here is that the whole trailer vibrates under load

Any thoughts?

Sounds like loose bolts. Check the holes they may be inlarged.

Here is another thought. The movement could be from using the control valve as an on/off not the ball valve. If the ball valve is open the floor will stop.

I'm new here but, thought I'd make a post here anyways. Don't have a clue about the trailer question though. I am also pretty new to being a walking floor owner too... Wish I had $.02 to put in but, mine would be more like $.00000000002.... This looks to be a great forum and I hope to stop in on a regular basis and see what I can learn.....

Thanks

Sorry for the delay, but I have been traveling..:-)

Regarding the vibrating trailer post, I discovered that the trailer has some check valves loose; when loose, those valves take air and the air within the hydraulic system caused the vibration, when we tight the valves, the problem go away.

This is valid for any leak on any point of the hydraulic system; if you have a leak, air will enter into the system causing vibration and ultimately damaging your system if you do not take actions immediately

Best regards
